Country star Deana Carter coming to Rialto Square Theatre Nov. 13 — Wheaton Arts news

Country singer/songwriter Deana Carter will be at the Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet on Nov. 13. Nashville native Carter didn’t take a seemingly easy route to stardom, but instead chose to defy the conventional expectations of the typical Nashville artist blueprint and make her own mark, according to a news release from the Rialto. And she did, undeniably taking the industry and fans by storm with her multi-platinum international debut “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” in 1996. Anchored by the hit “Strawberry Wine,” Carter showcased her own blend of country and retro rock sprinkled with the folksy singer/songwriter qualities that have garnered her well- deserved respect and wild acclaim, according the release.Carter went on to release eight albums, and now writes and produces music for both the pop/rock and country artists when not on the road touring or making movies. Tickets start at $40 and can be bought at ticketmaster.com.Visit rialtosquare.com for more information.
